Stargazing

Spending so much time sitting on the bed has made me a little sad, in my short life I’ve never been one for sitting about. I don’t know if humans feel the same but I’m having to be a bit more imaginative with ways to keep busy. Since I couldn’t go out and explore nature, I decided to bring nature to me.

I’ve had a few late nights waiting for my photographer to come home. The best part of this is the number of beautiful sunsets I have seen. The colours have became better and more beautiful since the lockdown began all those weeks ago.

Spectacular sunsets lead to starry skies. My favourite moment so far has been watching a meteor shower. I was so excited to see all the stars twinkling in the sky. Venus even appeared from behind one of the houses.

Though for me nothing will ever best watching the meteors moving through the sky, especially the shooting stars. The sky was incredibly bright but I can only imagine what it would be like in a place without any light pollution.

My dream is to visit Iceland to see the beautiful skies and hopefully the northern lights. As the lockdown is easing slightly, I’m hoping to go out on an adventure close to home. But for now I’ll be starwatching and wondering whether there are dinosaurs living on other planets.
