Chinese New Year

I would like to wish everyone who is celebrating, Happy New Year! 新年快乐!

Initially my photographer and I were planning on visiting Hong Kong to celebrate the Year of the Ox. But, due to the current status of the world, we chose to stay at home instead.

I made some cakes and jam tarts (red and gold of course). Paired with peach tea, it created the perfect combination for a snowy Friday. I was most excited about using the blue teapot I picked up for £1. It turned out to be perfect as blue is one of the lucky colours for the Year of the Ox. I think I might be lucky too!

I received Hongbao and a money plant, I’m looking forward to seeing the money flowers grow.

The year of the ox will hopefully bring good fortune, health, stability and prosperity.

Maybe next year I will be able to meet one of the dancing dragons!
